Harvest Program
2022-24
The Harvest Program is a critical response and creative intervention into the Kangaroo Harvest Management Plan. This project makes use of sustainably sourced recycled waste plastics, tanned/treated raw-hides and pelts, and the consequential skin and bones that are the byproducts of an ongoing government intervention. The creation of these artworks operates both as an act of resistance and an offering; a gift of entanglement that contends with the repercussions of epistemic violence, trauma and grief, through cultural healing.
Each performance and residual installation associated with this project is constructed according to specific rites and rituals of reclamation, geo-cultural belonging and eco-social transformation. These repercussions and reiterations function as bridges between the settler colonial damages done and indigenous futures yet to come.
Dimensions and duration variable.
